Dr Suzuki did his PhD in Pharmacology from the Kyoto University. He established his research group in 1998 and served as a Deputy Project 
Director and Group Director of Omics Science Centre in RIKEN- Yokohama Institute, Japan.

He is currently a Team Leader of Laboratory for Cellular Function Conversion Technology.

His research focuses on understanding gene expression, regulation and application of omics technologies to uncover the mechanism of disease onset induced by abnormality of DNA methylation regulatory factors in cancer and infections.
