Professor Jay Kolls

Jay Kolls is a Professor of Medicine and Paediatrics and Director of the Centre for Translational Research in Infection and Inflammation, Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, USA. He is a paediatric pulmonologist with expertise in adult pulmonology medicine and has been continuously funded by the NIH for 20 years for work on lung immunology. He is a leading expert on respiratory infections with his most prominent work describing the critical roles of IL-17 and IL-22 in gram negative pneumonia. He also contributes to the Editorial Board of: American Journal of Respiratory Critical Care Medicine (Associate Editor), Journal of Clinical Investigation (Consulting Editor), Journal of Experimental Medicine (Advisory Editor) and Journal of Immunology (Deputy Editor).
