Elsa Du Bruyn obtained her MBChB degree from the University of Stellenbosch at the end of 2011. She has been a research medical officer with CIDRI-Africa since 2015 and has led the IDOTS observational study. She is currently registered for a PhD in Medicine and is the recipient of the Harry Crossley Senior Clinical Fellowship.
