Dr Fezile Khumalo is a scientist and passionate advocate for health equity. She leads the Dx Translation Hub at the University of Cape Town’s Institute of Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine, working at the intersection of research, innovation, and community impact. As an Africa Oxford (AfOx) Health Innovation Fellow, she is committed to advancing locally rooted solutions that strengthen African health systems. Her mission is to bridge the gap between discovery and delivery, ensuring that tools developed in the lab reach the people who need them most, particularly women and underserved communities. Through her work, she champions collaborative networks, translational research pathways, and innovation for real-world impact.
