Dr Brandon Ferlito is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Cape Town’s EthicsLab. His research focuses on the ethical, social and governance questions raised by AI and emerging technologies in healthcare

Speaker: Ms Lexie Timina

Lexie Timina is a research assistant at the ethics lab, working on mapping how AI effectiveness is evidenced in African healthcare. She holds an MSc in Medicine from UCT (Ethics Lab), where her research explored the ethical challenges and considerations of pangenomic data sharing for rare diseases in South Africa.
