Dr Sara Suliman [Assistant Prof, Div. of Experimental Medicine, University of California]

Dr Suliman is an assistant professor at the division of experimental medicine at the University of California, San Francisco and the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, where her lab focuses on identifying host mechanisms associated with TB progression.

She is an immunologist by training with a focus on understanding risk of progression to active TB disease and developing predictive biomarkers.

She received her PhD in immunology at the University of Toronto, the held a postdoctoral positions at the University of Cape Town, then at Harvard Medical School where she become a junior faculty before establishing her independent lab in San Francisco.
