Suzanne Leal, Ph.D. is the Sergievsky Family Professor of Neurological Sciences and Director of the Centre for Statistical Genetics at Columbia University. The emphasis of her research is on developing methods, primarily to study rare variants obtained from sequence data to better understand the genetic etiology of Complex and Mendelian traits. She also is the principal investigator of projects which study Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disability, and Alzheimer's Disease amongst other traits.
