Marijke Fagan-Endres is an associate professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering at UCT whose research is based in the Centre for Bioprocess Engineering Research (CeBER).

She is Y1-rated by the NRF, an affiliate member of the UCT Institute of Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine (IDM) and professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA PrEng).

Her research foundations are in the study of heap bioleaching, and the development of tomographic methods (MRI, X-ray µCT) for their study. She also does research in bioproduct development, including for biological pigments, microalgal products, bioflotation reagents and probiotics.
