Philipp Henneke studied Medicine at the Free University of Berlin (Germany) and at Imperial College, London (UK). Her received clinical training in Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases in Berlin. From 1999 to 2001 he was post doc in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Immunology at Boston University, USA. From 2001 to 2002 he served as an Instructor and Assistant Professor in Medicine at the University of Massachusetts, Worcester (USA). In addition, he was Lecturer at Harvard Medical School (2001 – 2002). In 2003 he was appointed Assistant Professor in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University Medical Center, Freiburg (Germany). Since 2012 he has been full Professor for Infection and Immunity and Head of the Section for Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Rheumatology at the Center for Chronic Immunodeficiency and the Centre for Pediatrics in Freiburg.
