Speaker: Dr Leigh Johnson
Leigh Johnson is a modeller and epidemiologist at the UCT Centre for Integrated Data and Epidemiological Research. He specializes in modelling the HIV and tuberculosis epidemics in South Africa. He leads the Thembisa modelling project, which aims to assess the impact that HIV and TB programmes have had in South Africa, and to predict the future impact of changes in health policy. He also currently leads work on modelling sexually transmitted infections, reproductive health, depression and hypertension in the South African context.
