Speaker: Dr Arun Sharma
Arun Sharma is a postdoctoral researcher in the Singh Research Group at the IDM, University of Cape Town.
He completed his PhD in microbiology from Translational Health Science and Technology Institute, Faridabad, India, specialising in Mycobacterium tuberculosis pathogenesis, toxin–antitoxin systems,
and animal infection models.
His work combines BSL-3 expertise with in vitro and in vivo approaches to study bacterial survival mechanisms and therapeutic interventions.
His research has been published in reputed international journals, including Science Advances, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Communications Biology, and Microbiology Spectrum.
