The IDM Microscopy Platform at the University of Cape Town serves as a leading core facility dedicated to facilitating advancements in infectious disease and human health research. Established in 2022, it offers an extensive array of state-of-the-art microscopes situated in both BSL2 and BSL3 laboratories. Our objective is to enable researchers and students by providing access to cutting-edge imaging solutions, technical expertise, and comprehensive educational resources.
The facility offers practical training, specialised imaging equipment, and analytical tools, augmented by consultations and collaborative support. It is staffed by a team of dedicated professionals with extensive expertise in microscopy and infectious disease research, ensuring exceptional assistance for our users.
