Katherine (MBChB, MPH) has a keen interest in adolescent health and her research focusses on HIV and other sexually transmitted infections in young women. She is also interested in using various strategies to prevent HIV infection including research into vaccines, novel HIV prevention products and devices. Katherine has served on a number of technical working groups and guideline development groups that aim to translate research into policy change. She is currently based at the Desmond Tutu Health Foundation in Masiphumelele.
