Main Research Focus

Ruby’s research focuses on understanding immunity to infectious diseases in Africa. Ruby's current projects investigate pre-existing immunity to SARS-CoV-2 in adolescents, and the immunomodulatory effects of azithromycin in advanced HIV. Ruby is a Carnegie Corporation DEAL3 and EDCTP2 Career Development Fellow and currently holds a UKRI African Research Leaders Fellowship.
