Anna-Lise Williamson and Jonathan Blackburn’s SARChI chairs renewed

Anna-Lise Williamson and Jonathan Blackburn have had the Research Chairs from the NRF under the South African Research Chairs Initiative (SARChI) renewed for another five-years each. These renewals followed in-depth assessment by the NRF through a two-phase peer-review process.

Professor Anna-Lise Williamson is the national SARChI chair in Vaccinology in the Division of Medical Virology and a Member of the IDM.

Professor Jonathan Blackburn is the national SARChI chair in Applied Proteomics & Chemical Biology, in the Division of Chemical and Systems Biology, and is also Deputy Director & Member of the IDM.
