Renewal of SARChI Chair and NRF A1 rating

Professor Frank Brombacher continues to be recognised nationally and internationally for the quality and impact of his research in the immunology of infectious diseases.

Frank is based in the ICGEB-CT and Division of Immunology, UCT. His NRF Research Chair for Immunology of Infectious Diseases in Africa, under the South African Research Chairs Initiative (SARChI), has been renewed for a further five-year term.

And for an unprecedented fourth term, his NRF rating has been renewed at the level of A1 - internationally recognised as a leading scholar in his field, for the high quality and wide impact of his recent research outputs
