Speaker: Prof Abhay Satoskar
Prof. Satoskar is a distinguished physician-scientist in the Division of Experimental Pathology and Department of Microbiology at The Ohio State University, where he holds the Chair in Pathology and Vice Chair for Research. He earned his MBBS and MD in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (Gold Medal) from the University of Mumbai, India, and a PhD in Immunology from the University of Strathclyde, UK. His postdoctoral training included fellowships at Harvard School of Public Health and the Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology. Satoskar's research centers on parasite immunology, including leishmaniasis, mechanisms, and immune evasion strategies for vaccine and immunotherapy development.
