Speaker: Adijat Jimoh

Adijat Jimoh is a PhD candidate in the Division of Immunology, University of Cape Town. Prior to her PhD studies, she worked as a research officer at the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency, Nigeria contributing to bioinformatics and microbiome-based research. She completed her MSc in Industrial Microbiology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

Adijat has been selected for the 2025 cohort of the Mawazo Fellowship, an initiative designed for African women pursuing doctoral research across the continent, with the goal to build a strong network of women experts who can shape policy and public dialogue through evidence-based solutions that advance Africa’s development agenda.
