Speaker: Prof Clive Gray
Clive Gray is Professor of Immunology at the Biomedical Research Institute, Stellenbosch University and Emeritus Professor of Immunology at UCT. He is the former Chair of Immunology at UCT and an adjunct member of the IDM. His current research focuses on reproductive immunology in the context of HIV and CMV infections and examines immune and physiological events in the placenta. He is the recipient of the 2023 Harry Oppenheimer Fellowship and the 2024 SAMRC Gold award. He has published over 150 papers on HIV and immunology with an added focus on education. He is a Council member of the International Union of Immunology Societies (IUIS), Chair of the IUIS Education Committee, President of the Federation of African Immunological Societies (FAIS) and the founding Director of Immunopaedia
