Dr.Steve Kay is based at the University of Southern California, USA, where he serves as the Director of the Michelson Center for Convergent Bioscience, the Co-Director of the Center for Cancer Drug Discovery at the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, and is a professor of Neurology, Biomedical Engineering and Quantitative and Computational Biology. Dr. Kay is one of the world’s top experts on the genetics and genomics of circadian rhythms. Having published more than 200 papers, he was named by Thomson Reuters as one of “The World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds” consecutively from 2014 to 2021 and has been cited in Science magazine’s “Breakthroughs of the Year” three times. He has been presented with numerous prestigious awards and has founded several biotechnology companies. Prior to joining USC in 2012, Dr. Kay held positions at the University of California, Rockefeller University, University of Virginia, The Scripps Research Institute, and the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation. He received his PhD and DSc from the University of Bristol, UK.
