Dr. Barczak is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She is a clinical Infectious Diseases specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her research laboratory at the Ragon Institute studies Mycobacterium tuberculosis pathogenesis in macrophages, including mechanisms and consequences of phagosomal membrane damage, and lung tissue, including the pathologic matrix remodeling that contributes to post-TB lung disease.
