Speaker
Rachael Gachogo is a PhD candidate in the Division of Immunology. Her research seeks to understand the role of enteric virome in shaping the adaptive and innate immunity in infants and how perinatal HIV exposure alters these two systems. Previously, she worked at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Kenya contributing to initiatives aimed at designing and improving veterinary vaccines.
She holds both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Rachael is passionate about applying multi-omics approaches to deepen the understanding of host-pathogen interactions. |
